Façade Maintenance Design has received a 2009 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Project award for the restoration of 90 West Street, awarded by New York Landmarks Conservancy and the Best Adaptive Reuse Project Award from the New York Construction News - Best of 05 Awards.

The Restoration of 90 West Street and the Woolworth Building have been featured in Traditional Building - August 2009, Modern Steel Construction - October 2009, Journal of Architectural Coatings - January 2006,  as well as featured in several articles in the New York Times.
 
                  
   
          FacadeMD PROJECT WINS PRESERVATION AWARDS 
                     September 2003 
                 
                Facade Maintenance Design has received a 2003 Preservation Award 
                from the Massachusetts Historical Commission (a state agency) 
                and a 2003 Preservation Achievement Award from the Boston Preservation 
                Alliance (a non-profit advocacy group). Both awards recognized 
                FacadeMD's design work for the exterior restoration of the Ritz-Carlton 
                Hotel in Boston. 
              
               FacadeMD PRESIDENT ELECTED TO SWRI BOARD 
                      March 2003  
                 
                FacadeMDPresident Richard Lefever was elected to the Board of Directors 
                of the Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute at their 
                annual meeting in Naples, Florida. As the sole Associate Member 
                (i.e. non-contractor and non-materials manufacturer) on the Board, 
                he pledged to represent the point of view of architects, engineers 
                and consultants with this vigorous and influential national organization. 
                  
               
              
              FacadeMD AWARDED RESTORATION OF 90 WEST STREET 
                     February 2003 
                 
                Facade Maintenance Design was awarded the exterior and roofing 
                restoration design contract for 90 West Street in New York. This 
                local and national landmark building was designed by Cass Gilbert 
                and completed in 1907, and is considered an older sibling to the 
                Woolworth Building. 90 West Street was heavily damaged by the 
                terrorist attack of September 11,    
                2001, and FacadeMDis particularly proud to be involved with work at 
                this significant and spiritual location.  
              
              FacadeMD CELEBRATES 20 YEARS IN BUSINESS  
                     2003 
                 
                As of 2003, Facade Maintenance Design proudly begins its 20th 
                year serving the facade restoration market. Beginning as a joint 
                venture between DeSimone Consulting Engineers and SBLM Architects 
                in 1983, FacadeMDhas grown into a thriving independent professional 
                firm with projects    
                throughout the eastern United States. 
              
              FacadeMD OPENS NEW OFFICE      December 
                2002 
                 
                Facade Maintenance Design moved into its brand new office just 
                prior to Christmas, 2002. With 3 times the floor space of our 
                previous quarters, the new office provides greater meeting and 
                storage space as well as room for expansion. The new office is 
                fully wired for internet, and    
                has a conference room almost as large as the entire previous office.
